Scott Barrus – Spinner Fall Guide Service

Scott Barrus is the owner/operator of Spinner Fall Guide Service on Utah’s Green River.

Scott became sole owner in 2010 and has built his company with a focus on teaching and an emphasis on dry fly fishing.

When he’s not rowing the river, you can find Scott hiking, camping, snowboarding, riding his OneWheel or chasing fish.

Please join us for this October’s meeting showcasing this prime fishery.

Recipient of AZ Game and Fish Commission Award for Mentor of the Year!

Grew up chasing Bass, Bluegill and Crappie in Minnesota with homemade flies. Traveled in Air Force for 22 years. Found more places to fly fish.

Professional and Volunteer for AZ Game & Fish over 33 years combined time. Fly Fishing for 60 years. Pursuing Trout and more since 1963, from Norway to New Zealand, Alaska to Arizona, Maine to Hawaii and lots of places in-between. Teaches Fishing and Fly Fishing for AZGFD. Traveled Arizona providing hundreds of Classes and Clinics for Schools, Camps, Public events and Special needs groups.

Worked with Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing and now AVFF (Arizona Veterans Fly Fishing). Makes a few guest appearances here & there. Helping with Scout programs, Peoria Parks and Recreation, Becoming Outdoor Woman program, and Full Time Grandpa.

The winner of this raffle will coordinate with Marco on the length, weight, colors, etc. of this beautiful rod.

Each entry is $20. The fortunate winner will be chosen by a random drawing when 144 tickets have been sold.

Meeting Information

Arizona Flycasters Club holds monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of the month.
The meetings are held at the:
Arizona American-Italian Club
7509 N 12th St, Phoenix, AZ

Meetings begin at 6:00pm with a social hour and raffles and wrap up with club updates and a knowledgeable speaker.
Meetings usually end at 8:30 or 9:00.

About once a quarter AFC will hold a new member orientation which coincides with the monthly meetings.
